Mr.McClung
I really enjoyed this blog. When I hear someone say in their blog that you have to be patient with children and don't worry about making mistakes, it prepares me for a path I wish to take. I'm glad that Dr.Strange makes these blogs a part of the assignment because the more I read it or hear it, it truly helps me. He mentioned communication and that is a troublesome factor for me. I don't communicate well with people and I am working on that. Sometimes I have too much pride which really hurts me. I feel that if I want a bulletin from another teacher or want to simply borrow something then I will have trouble asking because I feel that I should think of my own bulletin or buy it for myself. Another thing he learned is to never stop learning. Sometimes I feel I know everything and I could not be wrong but hearing this from not only Mr. McClung but others is helping a lot. I hope to work on these things in particular so that I can have a smooth first year. I'm learning that people/first year teachers are blogging and verbally telling undergraduates such as me these facts because they do not want us to make the same mistake. I am slowly but surely taking it all in.
Wikipedia!!! and Wired Story
This Podcast is unbelievable. I can't believe that the internet encyclopedia could be unreliable. I have been using this site since I have been writing papers in the seventh grade that could not have been reliable. I am kind of glad that they have found this so that the people or company can stop polishing the Wikipedia image. I usually go to the web site called Ask.com and I wonder if this site could be fraud sometimes. However, it goes to show that the truth is always unveiled. The most astonishing fact is that they can trace the computer as well and that creeps me out. The only way that a person who is searching for information can get reliable information is to go check other websites as well. In the end, making adjustments to Wikipedia can really damage your image.
The Wired Story is very interesting. This goes to show that people need to make sure that these websites are true. Doing a lot of research will be necessary now. Mr. Griffith is airing out the dirty laundry. This could possibly hurt business and people as well. In my opinion, If they can't take the heat they should get out of the kitchen. Walmart is really hurting their image by lying to people about their wages. It will also kill the integrity of their franchise. My question is why is Walmart of all businesses altering their facts? Do they need more workers? Im confused because they are an industry worth billions of dollars.

Randy Pausch Last Lecture
He is a very interesting man who catches my attention from beginning to end. He delivered very well and had a great sense of humor. He actually talked about a situation that my boyfriend went through with football. The coach was basically giving him a HARD time but, I was telling him that it possibly could be that he cares of how well you should do on the field. That teaching mechanism sometimes work if the player is interested to go through wit it but in most cases it does make a better player. I'm glad that he is acknowledging this so that when people experience this in a sport, class, or other things; it will let them know that they are not being the victim.
His motto that he was saying, "Brick walls are there for a reason......". He basically tell us that the brick wall did not hold him from achieving his dreams. Even through his condition, he held his head high and lives his life. I really admire people like him.

Karl Fisch
This blog really caught my attention. I feel that this is a big wake up call to all teachers and educators. I do know that we are in the technology age and its more than pencil and paper. Knowing that we are in a technology age, how can we as teachers educate students technologically literate when we have not achieved that level. I recently have seen a presendential address where he says that we need that education to be of more importance in our children's lives. He also stressed the fact that we need more jobs for people. I believe that our teachers who have been in the school system for quite a time should have a technology literate helper to help them since all of this technology is overwhelming. Doing so, this can give jobs to people and help with education. This will be a prime example of killing two birds with one stone.

I totally agree on this subject matter. Teaching in the classroom is a must. I believe that technology can teach the students. In some students' cases they may not be visual learners or they can not sit and listen to an audio if instructed. (It's different strokes for different folks) A teacher must be willing, patient, and caring to the students for them to actually learn. We can't just sit a student in front of a computer and expect them to be geniuses. Sometimes interactivity helps student to comprehend better or in my opinion all the time. I learned a long time ago that if a teacher shows how creative they are in the classroom, then it reflects on students. A teacher is, in my opinion, a second mother to students. They are always studying their teacher. If the teacher is creative and being an effective teacher then it will eventually have an effect on students. On the the other hand, computers can not have a tremendous on students.
Michael Wesch: A Vision of Students Today
I absolutely loved this video. It was a nice concept, setup, and very unique of how it came about. I can relate tremendously to this video such as facebook during class. It's sad to say but that video clip is every college students' life in this era. It's even worse to say that even high school and middle school students have this involved in their lives as well. It seems that we are particularly lazy when it comes to school work and then very energetic when it comes to emailing and facebooking. I hope that we all can get technology to go in a direction where it a lot more positive instead of negative. It seems that we always know how to make a good resource negative. However, maneuvering through technology is helping us whether you like it or not. I think altogether social networking does help us become more aware our surroundings.
Week 4 ASSignment children's blog
I have read all those fun and exciting blogs from the children. They really expressed themselves on their blogs about their vacations. I hate the fact that some of them had to go through tragedies before their summers began but at least it turned out great in the end. However I loved the fact that most of them did things that I have never done. The camps, boat riding, parasailing is astounding to me. I can actually read blogs of that sort and respond to them daily.
children's BLOGS!!!
I really enjoyed viewing how children can express their mind. I'm glad to see that children are not losing creativity and their viewpoints. I wish that I had read the story so that I could relate to them a little more. However, their comments actually make me want to get the book and read it.

The Benefits of podcasting in the classroom
I have learned that podcasting is becoming relevant for us today. In their words we are called millenial babies( anyone born after 1980). I like that podcasting can help a student from her own house if he or she is sick. On that concept, I think that if some students who are always getting in trouble or can't get along with other students can always use podcasts. The project podcast can be very neat. I think that doing projects manually or by explaining your viewpoints on paper is not popular anymore. Podcasting your viewpoints has a more effective way of reaching your professor and others if you wish to share. I do hope to make podcasting useful in my classroom one day. I think it will be nice for students who do not see their parents much or guardians to view their children's thoughts on specific ideas in the world.
Itunes in Education thoughts!!!
I enjoyed the fact that these students are expressing their thoughts on how Itunes can be used in every way to make it easier in the classroom. I also like the fact that it is CHEAP!! Other factors such as purchasing movies and a lot of other great things are as Angel said .99 to 12.99. I also like how Owen went into detail of how we will be using this technology for the students. Students, as he mention, will be able to do their homework a lot faster. One thing that I can relate to is being able to look at a lecture or listen to one from my professor. I absolutely hate to read so I agree with Owen on making books not the only optiion to learn. Students being able to express their work or learning experience through technology also help other students as Owen mentions. Students being able to learn from other students is a great way of learning because we as students think totally different from our professors.
